Thalia Theater is a children and youth theater in Halle, Germany. The season 2011/2012 under the direction of Annegret Hahn marked its 60th anniversary.

The past is our future. If you believe the saying, then the answers to questions of the future are to be found in the past. In this regard, the anniversary event is a good occasion to deal at length with the roots of East German cultural history, and to refer to its beginnings. In this spirit, the design strikes a new path, too. While the typography remains formally stern, the illustrations joyfully delve into the past of East German commercial art.
