A reader points out that President Barack Obama's new typeface is Revolution Gothic, a style inspired by retro Cuban propaganda posters.

Alexandra Lange:

More striking to me than the name of the font, and even its tenuous Cuban connections, was how ugly this poster is.

Roger Black:

Obama shoulda used WPA type. If people don't associate font with Cuba, the controversy is moot.
