First published in 1991 as a limited edition by the Library Fellows of the Whitney Museum of American Art. This edition was published in 1995 by Serpent's Tail. (High Risk Books was founded in New York City in 1993, as an imprint of Serpent's Tail Press of London.) A special edition of 125 copies was issued concurrently with the first trade edition, signed by Burroughs on the title page and housed in a black slipcase. Includes seventeen illustrations by the author.
