"Mullaemolla? Saalmolla!" was the collaborative effort between the performance artists of SAR_Projektbüro and Think2Do. For the occasion of SAR's annual exhibition, they published a catalogue to collect their findings.

Rural province and structural transformation opposing a buzzing business metropolis: A story of collision at first, the artist exchange »Mullaemolla«*was a deeply strange experience.

Like-minded individuals with different backgrounds collaborated in their respective hometowns of Völklingen (GER) and Mullae-dong/Seoul (KOR) (which have more in common than just the presence of ironworks) in order to explore future artistic processes.

This trilingual book retells their journey in two chapters. The first one locates the performances on maps and explains them, the second one collects (sometimes unusual) travel photos and rearranges them in new contexts. Metallic and pitch-black Pantone inks, mixed together in duotone images, visualize the project's collaborative approach and also reflect the industrial heritage.

We usedGridnikto oppose the "ye olde heritage" with strict modernism in one size and one font throughout the book. Gridnik's Hangul counterpart is Gothic Neo, one of OSX's system fonts, that has surprisingly similar futures.

The maps we drew weren't ordered, but we found they were very crucial in expressing a sense of density. So crucial even that they kiss on the cover.
