For the release on cd, the type was changed to ITC Eras.
White Light/White Heat is the second studio album by American rock band the Velvet Underground, released in 1968 by record label Verve. It was the band's last recording with violist and founding member John Cale.
Kenny Wilson blogs:
Dylan had the thin, mercurial sound but the Velvet Underground had the loud, distorted, grating sound delivered to perfection on this second album. Nico is no longer present and the soft, folky ballads have gone apart from the song Here She Comes Now. The rest of it is self-consciously anti-beauty.
Kabel too, but on a different background image, or in a different composition. Other images, of the CD release (late 1980s?) of this album use the original composition, but are set in ITC Eras, for reasons unknown.

The original 1968 cover art sports Kabel on a black field. In the lower left corner, an even darker image of a tattooed skull.
