SVA Summer Masters Workshop 2014 in Rome

The 2014 SVA Summer Masters Workshop in Rome will offer a two-week intensive hands-on workshop in typography and graphic design in the city where Western type traditions were born.

The workshop will delve into the origins of Roman type, Italian vernacular and contemporary typographic practice.

Participants will get a chance to visit the birth place of Roman type, study inscriptions, hand-set type and print on a letterpress, visit Roman design studios, even learn how to draw the perfect letter and produce their own typographic products.
