Woody Allen Movie Posters (2009–2013)

Since 1977, Woody Allen has become known for almost always using his trademarkWindsorLight Condensed or Elongated for film titles. But the posters advertising his films never followed suit. They didn't, that is, until 2009's Whatever Works when the poster designers caught on to his typographic signature and haven't departed since.
The Midnight In Paris poster pairs Windsor with Belwe, another early 1900s face with beefy serifs and an angled 'e'. They feel odd together — too similar to complement each other but not close enough to be from the same family.
