Toko:
Traditionally the APA's annual book design award catalogue is designed by the Best Designed Book of the Year Award winner, which Toko was awarded for the Love Lace publication created for the Powerhouse Museum Sydney.
Toko's publication concept and design, follows APA's custom to use an alteration of the design of the "Best Designed Book of the Year', albeit with a twist. Using a similar concept as our Love Lace publication, we created another purely typographic cover solution. Somewhat tong and cheek, the publication contradicts the concept of awards… judging. Only after removing the cover wrap the true intentions are revealed.
