Vorher Nachher. Die Dinge ändern sich ("Before After. Things change") is a web archive that documents packaging designs and how they change over time. The collection already comprises more than 200 items in eight categories, from Food and Drinks to Home and Hygiene.
In addition to the visual then-and-now comparisons, Christian Thomas also comments on the modifications, points out type choices and observes trends and fashions. If you don't read German, you miss out. His remarks are spot-on, the laconic language often is hilarious.
The only quibble I have is the rather small size of the images. And the recently released Brandon Text would perform here a little better than the regular Brandon Grotesque.
